	Why?
	YMCAs are collectively the largest not-for-profit organization in the country. YMCAs support the positive development of strong kids, strong families and strong communities through program opportunities that foster caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The friends of the YMCA believe a YMCA presence in Central Vermont will improve the quality of life for people by becoming a community focal point. We believe this project will be a source of pride and ownership for all residents. The YMCA is a movement of people helping each other reach their highest potential and making their communities better places to live. YMCAs have for more than a century been leaders in a wide variety of programs including before & after school care, child care, teen clubs, senior centers, family nights, and community based fitness and health. Please join us in our effort to bring the YMCA to Central Vermont
